Kick Ball

Kickball Trophy

Kickball Trophy

My youngest son just signed up to play in a local kickball league.  I have got to say it sure has brought back memories of my days in grade school and the gym.  It seemed like we could play this game for 10 hours straight.  I always liked it better than baseball or softball.  Being able to kick the ball always seemed to even the playing field.  Even the girls could kick butt against the boys most of the time.  Of course nowadays there are tournaments, leagues and kick ball trophies to win.  The old days we just played in school for an hour or so if we were lucky.  I hope he takes to the game like his old man.  Maybe there will be scholarship money involved down the road!

Flip Cup Lessons

200x121-buyawardsandtrophies-flipcu

I received my first taste of a good old fashion flip cup tournament this past weekend. I must admit I had never really heard of the drinking game before last Friday, but I won’t forget anytime soon. Two teams of six players line up on two sides of the table each with solo 16 oz plastic cups. The cups have about 2 inches of your favorite beverage in each. You start on one end and each member of the team on one end downs the drink, sets the cup upside down on the edge of the table, then tries to flip the cup up on its bottom. If they are successful then it’s the next players turn. If not the person keeps trying until it they get the cup up right. The first team to the end of the line wins. It’s not like we had flip cup trophies to compete for, but it was pretty fun. There are some real pros out there when it comes to this sport. If you get a chance to play, give it a try, it’s a blast.
