My parents and their friends have been enjoying their Fridays by playing domino games. It’s no longer playing cards and dice it’s dominoes! Dominoes are very simple and basic gaming devices. But the games that they play are only limited by their imagination. There is a huge variety of domino games, ranging from simple to complex, from easy to difficult. But they seams to play the more traditional games like Chicken Foot, and Mexican train.

It’s great to see my parents getting out and socializing and to see them get excited and competitive about a game. I think it is the highlight to their weekend and makes them more intuitive to their younger years.

Not only do they enjoy the game but they are good and they win all the time. Twice a year their friends like to host a Dominoes tournament and award the winners with a fun Dominoes Trophy. They have 2 of them displayed sided by side on their mantel in the living room. I love to admire their dominoes trophies every time I visit so they feel a sense of pride.

Wiffle Ball is definitely not only a childs game or a backyard game any more. My office has started a wiffle ball team and we have been competing all around the city these past few months. It’s the perfect game for the athletic and athletically challenged people and a great way to have fun with coworkers.

In the future our office hopes to expand its play into the regional tournaments and compete against other cities. But for now we are practicing and preparing for the city league tournament coming up this fall. This tournament will be out first big chance to win a wiffle ball trophy to display in the office. We have won small events and were awarded wiffle ball trophies but A giant City Championship Trophy is what we really want. It may seam silly to others but we are definitely proud of the fact that we can accomplish so much inside and outside of the office.
